Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who We Are
Swiss Technology ("we", "us", "our") provides web, mobile, and desktop software development services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our payment and contact services.
Contact: business@swiss-technology.ch
2. What Data We Collect
When you make a payment or submit a contact request, we collect:
- Full name and, where provided, company name
- Email address and phone number
- Billing address (street, city, postal code, country)
- Payment method selection and transaction metadata (never your full card number — see Section 4)
- Technical data: IP address at time of consent, timestamps
3. Why We Collect It
- Contract performance: to process your payment and deliver the service you requested
- Legal obligation: to issue invoices as required by Swiss accounting law
- Legitimate interest: to prevent fraud and secure our systems
- Consent: for optional marketing communications, only if you opt in
4. Payment Processing
Card and TWINT payments are processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. , a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure, hosted checkout page — we never receive, see, or store your card number, expiry date, or CVV. Stripe's own privacy policy governs that part of the transaction: stripe.com/privacy.
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
Billing and invoice records are retained for 10 years as required by Swiss commercial and tax law (Art. 958f OR). Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond, then deleted within 24 months unless a business relationship continues.
6. Your Rights
Under Swiss data protection law (nFADP/LPD) and, where applicable, GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations (e.g. invoices)
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC)
To exercise these rights, contact us at business@swiss-technology.ch.
7. Data Sharing
We share data only with: Stripe (payment processing), our hosting provider (infrastructure), and where legally required, Swiss tax authorities. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), signed webhook verification, and rate limiting to protect your data from unauthorized access.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
